just had the valve done on my 2003 jeep liberty a week ago and it started running rough again. the shop that did the work claims my intake has carbon build up and it is getting in the valves. j
JA: Have you metered out the ignition system?
Customer: no. I was thinking of using a cleaner though. I want to do some research before I take it back to them.
JA: What is the make/model of your car?
Customer: 2003 jeep liberty
JA: Are you fixing your Liberty yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I took it to a shop when it stared running rough. they did a valve job on it . had valve 4 and 6 I think were leaking
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Hello there,

If you have had a cylinder head job done only one week ago, then the shop should warrant the work they did, AND anything they didn't do that may be causing this to happen now.

They should have ensured the intake was clean enough to refit.

It is up to them to now see whether they can perform an upper cylinder clean with Sea foam etc.

You should not have to pay anything else, considering what you have already spent.
