Customer Question

my esp/bas warning light came on...ended up having the anti lock brake module replaced but light is still on and now abs light is on-what now?
JA: Has the light been on for some time?
Customer: Yes about a month now
JA: What is the model/year of your Jeep?
Customer: 2008 jeep wrangler 4x4
JA: Are you fixing your Wrangler yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No I took to dealer and they wanted to charge me an arm and leg-so I bought the part they told me that needed to be replaced and just used a local mechanic to fix it. the dealership at first replaced the clockspring and when that didn't do the trick they said it had to be the module
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

What codes are setting in the ABS module and did you program the new ABS module?

Talk soon,

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I think the mechanic did but he stated he was still getting code C2206 and wasn't sure what that was
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Im not the mechanic...its my jeep and im at work
Expert:  Brad replied 1 year ago.

The code you have is: C2206-VEHICLE CONFIGURATION MISMATCH. Was this a new ABS module or used and was it programmed and initalized with a scantool?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
new abs module purchase from mopar-no it was not
Expert:  Brad replied 1 year ago.

Ok to properly repair this the ABS module will need to be re-initalized with a WITech scantool.. We(Dealership) charge 1 hour labor which is around $100.00 to program modules..
