Have Jeep Questions? Ask a Jeep Repair Expert for Answers
Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!
The EGR and EGR flow control valve would cause an engine light but it doesn't appear they would cause what you're describing. These are both on the engine.
Does the noise come from the radio area in the dash, or are you hearing something through the speakers?
I'm unable to talk on the phone and am a full time tech at work. I'm unable to respond immediately. If a phone call is a necessity I can open the question for others and allow you to wait and see if another expert will respond.
I don't follow.
We can converse through the question page as we have been or I can open the question and allow you to wait to see if another expert is willing to help if a phone call is a necessity.
Before i call you we need to set a few issue clear .
The check engine light is Flashing or coming on and off randomly.
Now for the dealer to come out with you needing a new EGR ? what was the malfunction code for them to say this.
Remember when the check engine light comes ON then there must be a code (EGR)
I need these code to continue with this and call you on the phone.
This is a hands on job just giving you an idea may just lead to a run around .
Having the codes would be very helpful. to me sounds like a problem with the EGR and crank sensor ?
Which engine do you have 3.0Lcrd
Yes sir this i know but this car was fitted with three types 2.7L 2.8L and the 3.0L crd
Just been checking on these codes and i don't have any information on how you can solve this problem .
I will have to opt out and see if another expert can assist you sorry for the delay i did try .
