the key with a circle and a line thru it is on my dash, had a locksmith program a key the jeep still will not clear that code and or except that new key and start
JA: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
Customer: they are not corroded. checked all fluids this morning any other ideas
JA: What is the model/year of your Jeep?
Customer: 2001 jeep grand cherokee lerado 4x4
JA: Are you fixing your Grand Cherokee yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: had a lock smith come and reprogram the key and that didnt work
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

If the S***** *****ght stays on solid it's because the SKIM module and powertrain control module aren't communicating. This could be an issue with the PCM, the SKIM module, a loss of power or ground to either one, or a bus communication network issue.

Do the fuel gauge and voltmeter come up with the key on?
