99 Wrangler 4 cyl, Running rough, not sure if its a fuel or firing issue, found 4 female wire leads unplugged, not sure if they belong on something, or are for diagnostics.
JA: Have you metered out the ignition system?
Customer: I'm a rookie, actually Jeep is in another city with son, so no
JA: Are you fixing your Wrangler yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Actually, just got back from shop, overheated, mechanic replace water pump, hoses, radiator and cap, and S belt. He drove about 120 miles, car died, after an hor or so would restart, but engine shaking
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hello, with it having ran hot and now shaking I would start by checking for combustion gas in the coolant. This will tell you very quickly if it blew the head gasket when it rant hot. Most partsstores will rent you the tool, ask for a "block tester" and tell them you want to heck for combustion gases in the coolant. You'll also have to buy some fluid to use with the tool it's aroun 10 or so. The tool will have instructions. Let me know what you find. if needed we can work further.
