I have intake backfire and issues starting, the backfire

Customer Question

I have intake backfire and issues starting
JA: Where exactly do you think the noise is coming from? And how long has this been going on?
Customer: the backfire comes from where the air filter would be hooked up (took it off to inspect what was going on) and it has gotten worse since I unplugged the battery to fix my AC compressor.
JA: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4.0 6 cylinder
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes and what I have done so far... I have replaced all the fuel injectors and did a full tune up on the engine
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: when I start my car it will almost never start the first time... Always the second time

Hi and good morning .

Did you have the back fire before the tune up .or was the tune up done because of the tune up.

Did you check for malfunction codes .if yes what codes did you have .
