Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be helping you today.

Did you change them with mopar replacements or swap them with another cylinder or replace them with another brand?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
new factory plug , new factory coil, swapped injectors
Expert:  Kavey replied 1 year ago.

Have you hooked up a noid light to the injector and coil?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
also watched pulse width on my scanner
Expert:  Kavey replied 1 year ago.

And its all good?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it all seems good, it runs great overall, very light miss at idle , it idles at 650 , step on the gas and no stumble or anything it just goes
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
cylinder 3 is the middle on the drivers side correct?
Expert:  Kavey replied 1 year ago.

Have you smoked it?

Maybe try swapping coil 6 with another cylinder?

Expert:  Kavey replied 1 year ago.

Yes. Thats correct.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
coil #6 , it has a wire i thought comming off of coil 5
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
by smoked, do u mean a leak down test or top end cleaning
Expert:  Kavey replied 1 year ago.

Coil 6 feeds off the same control circuit as 3. By smoke I mean a smoke tester for leaks to make sure you dont have a vacuum leak.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
swap coils 5 and 6 , i do not have a smoke machine but i did spray brake clean around the intake and fuel injectors
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
i meant coil 3 and 5
Expert:  Kavey replied 1 year ago.

When you sprayed the brake cleaner were you watching the short term fuel trim?\

No dont swap 3 and 6.. swap another cylinder and 6.. and for good measure swap another cylinder with three too. Get those coils completely off that driver circuit and clear the codes and see if the misfire moves. It could be possible 6 is dragging 3 down or something.

Expert:  Kavey replied 1 year ago.

Swap 3 with 1 and 4 with 2.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
there is only 3 coils on this engine
Expert:  Kavey replied 1 year ago.

OK then swap the whole coil with one of the other two. Then you can rule out the coil being bad. Its rare for a mopar coil to be bad out of the box but not unheard of.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok will do
Expert:  Kavey replied 1 year ago.

I will be standing by. Just let me know when you get that done and retested.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
same deal p0303, my phone is about to die so,i will get back to you tomorrow
Expert:  Kavey replied 1 year ago.

Sounds good. I will be around. If possible when you reply back let me know the compression on the rest of the engine.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
