Wrangler: 2001 Wrangler sport 6cyl 4L 127,000 miles: 1.5 yrs

Customer Question

2001 Wrangler sport 6cyl 4L 127,000 miles: 1.5 yrs ago started intermittently dying and mechanic diagnosed wiring problem and "fixed" it. Was still dying so a different mechanic replaced crankshaft sensor. Has stopped dying but within couple days engine light back on with multiple misfiring cylinder codes. Have had many repairs to fix these codes (and other random codes popping up) that were recommended including tune up, changing spark plugs, coils, changing fuel ingectors and more misfiring codes coming up each and every time within days of fixing problem. They went so far as to change computer and more codes came up, still including misfiring cylinders. After driving for 1.5yrs with no actual problems and no evidence of misfiring, a vacuum hose blew. A different mechanic (since last one said cant fix your problem and good luck) fixed this and said they found cracked spark plug and changed it. Again engine light came on within 2 days saying misfiring, this time PO300, 302, 305, 306. It's still driving fine. Took back to mechanic and they want to start over doing everything others already did which didn't fix problem.
Along the way, left turn signal light will randomly come on and stay on for while randomly, door jar alarm will sound with it while it's being driven (and door is securely closed). I sometimes hear clicking in the dash but nothing come so it.
Are these unrelated problems? Or does it all stem from a wiring problem?

Hello and welcome! My name isCustomerand I can assist you with your question. To know if these problems are related the latest misfires will need to be diagnosed to see if it is related to recent work that was done to the vehicle. I dont think this is a wiring issue because wiring issues do not cause random cylinder misfires..
