I have a 2010 jeep patriot which is making a weird hollow sound when wheels are rolling coming from reap tires. could this be the bearings? rear bearings?

Two tests will help determine where the noise is from. Drift the vehicle from side to side as the noise is occurring. If the noise changes as you go from side to side, it is a bad axle bearing. If not, then see if the noise changes as you accelerate or decelerate, if it does this then you have a bad differential bearing.
