Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If the motor works and one side tries to move then the other does not then the issue is either with the guide on the side that doesn't move, the drive mechanism, or the cable between the motor and the inoperative mechanism and motor could be off or stripped. If the adjuster assembly you bought has warranty then I would recommend getting another one.

If it's something you need to try and repair, do you see anything foreign in the guide on the side that doesn't move?

Is there any plastic debris coming out of the guide?
