Car heater won't shut off on passengers side. Cooler air is coming thru drivers side. Passenger side is an inferno.

Hello, Are you saying you can control the temperature on the drivers side but passenger side temp is stuck on high heat?

likely problem is the blend door actuator on the right side for the passenger, It is located behind the glove box, and on the side of the HVAC case.This is most common problem, The gears inside strip or it just fails, Liittle effort to get to it, kind of tight area but not too bad, witten is below, and a link to a picture of it as well

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the right side instrument panel silencer.
  3. On LHD models, remove the glove box and glove box closeout
  4. Remove the right side floor distribution duct from the HVAC air distribution housing (4)
  5. Remove the two screws (1) that secure the blend door actuator (3) to the right side of the air distribution housing.
  6. Remove the blend door actuator from the air distribution housing.
  7. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the blend door actuator and remove the actuator from the vehicle
