Customer Question

I have a jeep when I go over bumps over 40 miles an hour on a freeway my jeep shakes and shutters to where it is almost incapacitated. My mechanic said tires were over the weight he lowered and put back to normal weight, however the jeep still does it, just had a friend with me on Sunday, said will drive her car when we go anywhere, its that bad.

Hello and welcome! My name is ***** ***** I can assist you with your question. First, if this vehicle has a steering stabalizer or shock, this would be the first thing to check. Even if it is not leaking or it seems to be ok, I have seen these go bad so many times that by simply replacing it with an O.E part will solve this issue. If not, sometimes an upgraded steering stabalizer shock will solve this shake you are describing.

Some other possible causes would be oversized tires or rims, bad or loose front end parts (ball joints or tie rod ends), alignment out of specs or even loose control arm bushings..
