Case NumberK31003750

Vehicle IssueMIL on with Stored or Active P0299, P0101 and P0401 DTCs

System or ComponentEngine Performance,Engine Surge,Hesitation / Sag / Stumble,Lack of Power / Sluggish,Loses Power;DTC / Error Message;Group 08 - Electrical,Group 09 - Engine,Group 14 - Fuel System,Group 18 - Vehicle Performance / Driveability;1500 to 2000;Light Throttle,Moderate Throttle,Hard Throttle - Aggressive,Wide Open Throttle / WOT;Moderate Speed / 25 - 50 MPH ( 40 - 80 KPH );Acceleration

RecommendationSuggest following the diagnostic procedures for the codes above using TechCONNECT first before replacing any parts on this vehicle. Note: If there are any fuel condition DTCs diagnose them first and do not continue with this case until they are diagnosed and repaired. Check air filter condition, inlet ducting condition and all inlet ducting clamps for tightness. If all the diagnostics have been performed with no resolution to the issue, suggest checking the EGR Air Flow Control Valve. Have had some cases where the EGR Air Flow Control Valve has caused these codes due to the valve not opening quick enough making an inlet airflow restriction.
