My name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.
From what you have described here this does sound like either a loss of power to the electronics or loss of ground causing this fault.I have seen both cause this issue here.I would start with checking the battery cables to make sure they are clean and tight at the battery and to where they run to and make sure the connections at the fuse panels is all found to be o.k.Check any grounds connected to the frame and body for being loose, damaged or corroded.
Thanks Pete

I thank for taking the time to respond to my question but if I knew where the grounds ran to I would have already done this. I am getting code bus p1687 from my understanding these jeeps are notorious for these electrical issues that the dealer won't even try to fix. I haven't had much success on this site nobody responds or they don't read the question thoroughly this statement isn't meant for you. You obviously read my question in full.
