Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!
If there are no codes setting and it won't start after internal engine work then incorrect cam timing is very likely. It sounds like a shop has confirmed a cam timing issue, if that's the case then I would definitely recommend disassembling it again and rechecking cam timing. If the cam and crank signals aren't in time to an extent then it will prevent spark and fuel both, if one or both cams are out by 1-2 teeth then it can still have spark and fuel but either not start or run very poorly.
