Jeep: 2006 Liberty - three dash lights on ESB/BAS traction

This answer was rated:

2006 Liberty - three dash lights on ESB/BAS traction loss indicator and ABS had gone on before but went off - now staying on. AutoZone found no codes with reader?
Well autozone's reader wont see the codes because it only scans the PCM for codes not the ABS module which is where the code are. That is why the ESP/BAS light is on. This light is on most likely due to a speed sensor failure. Either the rear one in the rear diff housing or the right or left front speed sensor. You will need someone with a full level scan tool to scan the ABS module to find which sensor it is and then replace that sensor accordingly

Ok would a "self read" on the odometer show the code? Why are the other lights are on with? Woud it be OK to drive?
No a self read only displays codes that are in the PCM. The ABS, BAS, and ESP light are all on because of the code in the ABS. It will be fine to drive but you ABS system will just not work properly untill the problem is corrected
