Brad, Sorry, just noticed it's Pearl! 2002 Liberty Sport,
Not myself, I took it to a local mechanic. Original problem was relatively simple. No heat and the fan blower would not work. They changed the fan assembly and that worked. On the heat, they told me it was a lot of gunk in the coolant. They flushed it and only got a bit warmer. They said they need to flush it again. After that they took it for a test drive and the car overheated just 1 block from the shop (never overheated before). They had to tow it back and after it cooled down they couldn't start it because they said it misfired. Did a pressure test and said they don't get pressure in one of the cylinders. They recommend changing the engine, nothing else they could do. Appears very radical. Any opinion? … read more
