Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 laredo replacing right rear oil seal

yes... oil all over wheel & tire on inside do i remove a bolt, rod and c-clips? been a while for me

Ok, thanks. On this particular vehicle, the axle bearing is pressed onto the axle shaft right behind the seal. So, what you need to do is remove the axle shaft........4 nuts at the end of the axle tube..........and then slide the axle, bearing and seal out.

The seal and bearing are retained by a steel collar that is pressed onto the shaft so you need to drill and chisel this retaining collar to get it off and then do the same for the bearing.
