i have a 2002 jeep liberty sport. was running fine yesterday when i drove to work. when i got off work and went to start the engine, nothing happened. i figured the battery was dead and had it jumped. i drove home and tried to keep it running for a while. i went and check again this morning, the car still won't start, but the interior lights are flickering and there's a clicking sound.

I haven't tried jumping it yet today. But the flickering lights and clicking sound is new. Wondering if it might be more than just a dead battery.
Jeep Mechanic: eauto, The Car Guy replied 8 years ago
sounds like a failed cell in the battery. i would have the battery tested to confirm. Likley a battery will solve your issue

Is the battery something I can change myself? If so, what kind of battery does the 2002 Liberty take?
Jeep Mechanic: eauto, The Car Guy replied 8 years ago

any part store should carry one, different brands have differnt part numbers, but all stores will have a battery guide to pick out the correct one
