95 Grand Cherokee: ignition coil..tensioner..step instructions..Jeep

This answer was rated:

I'm trying to remove the ignition coil from my 95 Grand Cherokee in order to replace a bad tensioner. Can anyone give me step by step instructions on taking it out? I've worked on my Jeep a little and have been told that this is a moderately easy task but I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks

Here are the instructions on the coil:

  1. Disconnect ignition coil cable from coil.
  2. Disconnect engine harness connector from ignition coil.
  3. Remove ignition coil mounting screws. Remove coil.

  1. Install ignition coil to bracket on cylinder block with mounting screws.
  2. Connect engine harness connector to coil.
  3. Connect ignition coil cable to ignition coil.
