Do you have fuel pressure while cranking the engine over?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Did not check fuel pressure but vehicle seems to be getting gas---vehicle does not have constant power into coil
Expert:  Mark replied 7 years ago.
Ok, check the fuel pressure and let me know the pressure is.

Sorry for the delay--Have not had a chance to get back to working on the jeep.

I bought a new pressure tester mine was damaged

will I get a true reading by just cranking the vehicle or just turn the key on and let the pump build the pressure itself--Also what is the reading supposed to be?

Do you think it was a coincidence that the battery went dead and the car has not run since?

Expert:  Mark replied 7 years ago.

You're looking for 40-45 psi and check it while you are cranking. Yes it appears a coincidence to the battery least at the point.

One more thing, check and see if the check engine light comes on when the key is turned to the on position.........not cranking.
