my 2005 jeep liberty just started making a clicking sound when I turn the key, not always, I was told I need a starter and it would cost about $400 Should I take my jeep back to the dealer for repair, and is this cost estimate about right?
Yes the click sound is the soleniod on the starter trying to get the starter to spin and when it starts to go bad this is what they will do.The price you got is inline with a normal replacement. You can have this repair done at most any shop. The dealer price will most likely be a little higher.
