Do you have any lights showing on the dash?
When in forward do you hear any noise? What is the car doing?

no lights on dash other than normal and no noise going forward
Okay, when you have it in first gear, if you rev the engine. What happens?

sometimes very slow move forward sometimes no movement

last time i checked there was no movement forward

when it does move forward it works best if i don't rev engine and try to keep engine in idle or revenge slowly

when car moves slowly forward with the slippage it sometimes then engages completely and moves forward normally

after coming to a stop I smell burning smell under the hood

at first i thought it was a valve cover gasket leaking on a manifold but on inspection it wasn't leaking
Being you do not have a grinding noise; we know the transmission is disengaging. Being the transmission is a manual there is no other variables to affect the transmission moving the car other than the clutch. I believe somehow the clutch is not fully releasing so the transmission can reengage with the engine.
