Hi sorry you are having trouble my name is ***** ***** I'm here to help who do I have the pleasure speaking to
Trevor tell how you determined that the starter had no power.
Ok thanks thats not the power source the power source is the main battery cable. The wire you check is the signal from the switch.
What engine do you have?
If you jump the starter solenoid will the starter spin
When did you start having a issue
Ok give me a few minutes to do some research
So basically you are not getting a signal from the ignition switch. I will return
So does the dash lights turn signal come on
You mean it want turn over to start correct
Ok hold on
Ok you have a starter relay behind the battery and a plastic panel. You need to check the relay.
You didn't change the key just the ignition switch rite
Can you check the relay wires to see if you have a signal from the switch. Also the small power wire on the starter and alternator should be a fusible link pull on them to see if they come apart.
You can run power to the relay to see if the wire going down to the starter is good it should engage the starter.
Ok that new key has a chip and must be programed to the car before it will work.
You can call a lot smith they can come our and program it.
It's like you are trying to start a can with the wrong
No it will not has to be program to the computer system then it will work
Do you have the original ignition key
Thanks for contacting Just Answer I'm here tomorrow if you need me .
Ok then when you program it you will be smiling
