Sorry to hear about any car/truck problems, but I would be glad to try and help!
Here's a list of things to check to help get it back on the road
Let me know what I can do to help get it fixed, or if any questions come up while checking things out!
- The fan may stay on at times with the key off, if the engine computer is seeing that the engine is running too hot
- If the engine is overheating and boiling over at times, recommend having repair shop check the water pump, thermostat, cylinder head gasket and make sure that the engine block and radiator aren't restricted and not allowing good coolant flow.
- If the engine isn't boiling over, it may be that the engine temperature sensor or gauge is failing, Have it scanned for codes, then verify correct input from the engine temperature sensor. If the sensor isn't reading correctly anymore, would have it replaced and recheck gauge operation. If there are any codes setting in any of the control modules, list them to the message and I'll look up diag/repair information.
