Customer: I have a 2000 Jaguar S-Type Cooling Fan Does Not come on , Ck. the fan works & Air Condition Compressor does not engage .
JA: How long has this been an issue? How many miles are on the Jaguar?
Customer: where is the temp sensor located ? the wiring diagram says the control unit is located at the right side of the fire wall but there is not a module anywhere there, engine over heats fan does not come on. Whenever I put the battery on full charge and remove the charger the fan comes on and does not shut off , I have replaced the relay & A / C relay does not repair cooling fan or A/C
JA: Are you fixing your S-Type yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes used a fan assembly from the wrecking yard the fan works.
JA: Is there anything else the Mechanic should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: I used alldata for wiring

Hello, my name is ***** ***** to just answer! I will be assisting you with all of your vehicle questions today. Let's get started!.. Have you checked High and low side pressures?

1. Disconnect fan and using a fused power supply apply power and ground, fan should run.

2. Check for power on the Green/Orange and the Red/Black wires on the fan control module.

3. Check for a good ground on the Black/Red wire.

4. Check for a pulse width modulated ground signal from the Engine Control Module (ECM) on the White/Blue wire when the engine gets hot. Jaguar does not provide an exact specification, only that it should be on between 180 and 245 degrees.

5. Fans should be activated any time pulse width or dwell are between 7 and 95%. Also, if pulse width is below 3% or above 95%, fans will run at max speed.

6. If signal is good and powers and grounds are present but there is no output to the fans, then the Fan Control Module is bad.
