I did replace the passenger side upper oxygen sensor. It didn't fix the P1647 code. Is it possible that all codes are connected. I know the P0332 and P0327 are knock sensors codes but is it possible to have the 2 knock sensors gone at the same time? Or is it ECU issue?

Verified
it is possible. The code P1647 is for the driver side upstream oxygen sensor so that one will also need to be replaced. For the knock sensor codes look down into the engine vee under the intake to see if there is some coolant down there. The knock sensor are held onto studs with 13mm nuts. Check the two connectors clipped to the thermostat housing. If all is clean and secure then replace the sensors.

Sensors are dry and securely attached to the hermostat housing. The the thermostat is the new generation - aluminum one and does not leak. I know there are tests that can be made before i jump to spend so much money for sensors?
Jaguar Mechanic: Richard, Jaguar Technician replied 11 months ago
Go to the sensor and make sure we have a ground signal from the ECM on both white wires with the ignition ON.

Jaguar Mechanic: Richard, Jaguar Technician replied 11 months ago
Both knock sensors share that ground.

Ok, i have ground on both sides. What are the other wires (brown) for and is there a way to check the sensors?
Jaguar Mechanic: Richard, Jaguar Technician replied 11 months ago
That's the signal wires. They are hard to check without a scope. You can cvheck voltage and then perform a resistance test on the wiring back to the ECM

Richard, any guide how to replace the left upstream oxygen sensor (the p1647)? Thanks
Customer reply replied 11 months ago
Hi Richard, I measured the sensors ressistance: pass. one reads 193.7 ohm and driver's side 165.9 ohm
I think both read ok?
