JA: Have you changed a battery before?
Customer: No first time on this car
JA: What is the model/year of your Jaguar?

JA: Are you fixing your XK yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No a mechanic was fixing it sat for a while he replaced the battery

This could be caused by a number of issues. It could be a problem with any of the modules on the infotainment fiber optic network. I first recommend we disconnect just the negative battery terminal cable for about an hour. Reconnect it and then lock the vehicle with the remote. Leave it locked for at least 5 minutes and see if the system resets. Let me know.
