My 2007 jaguar xj8 battery is dead and I can’t open the

Customer Question

My 2007 jaguar xj8 battery is dead and I can’t open the trunk
JA: Did you test the battery with a voltmeter? And have you ever changed one before?
Customer: I have a embark charger power plus but I think the battery is in the trunk and I can’t get into it
JA: Are you fixing your XJ8 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes. I bought a new 2016 xf and haven’t used my 2007 on for a couple of months and I want to move it. It is for me. I am a woman and can do some things but am trying to do this myself. I have used the unit before on my old Lexus
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no, that’s it

Open the hood and locate the fuse box in the passenger front. Pop open the cover and you will see an 80 amp fuse with two smal nuts securing it. PLace the red positive side of a booster there and the black ground leak to the body. This will power up the vehicle enough to open the trunk electrically to access the battery
