05 X type 3.0 AWD, what is involved in reseting TCM adaptation after replacing a transmission assembly?
JA: When was your transmission fluid last checked?
Customer: Its new
JA: What is the model of your '05 Jaguar?
Customer: X type, AWD
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Trans has already been replaced, I saw something in the procedure about reseting adaptives in the TCM
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Unfortunately the TCM adaptions can only be cleared with Jaguar software. Disconnecting the battery does not clear any data. This procedure is not required however is recommended especially if the old transmission had an internal mechanical failure. Let me know.
