This is usually caused by the parking brake module and it is caused by the low voltage. First I recommend we fuly recharge and have the battery tested to make sure it is not weak. Then disconnect the negative battery terminal cable for about 30 minutes. Reconnect it and start the engine. Pump the brakes then while holding your foot ont he brake pull up the parking brake switch then see if it will disengage. If not let me know.

It appears that the battery drained overnight (cause not known).Once I got it jump started and the battery charged up, I ended up disconnecting the battery entirely for about a minute. Upon reconnecting, everything works fine again with parking brake properly disengaging - didn't even lose my radio and seat position settings. Thanks
