Customer Question

Hi - I have a 2005 x-type. Recently had an oil change, new oil filter, air filter and fuel filter. A few hours later, while on the freeway, going uphill (on a bridge!) the Jag started slowing down. I had it floored and it would not go. But after stopping for a few seconds, it started going again. So long as it wasn't idling too high, it was ok, but as soon as it would rev up, it would start slowing down and then stop altotether (but not stall - the engine was still going). Any ideas?

does it only do it on hills?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It just did it that one time. I have driven it now a few days in city and on freeways and on same bridge with no problem. Though still makes me nervous!!

I would have the catylitic converter checked it may be partially melted down causing the concern on the hills
