Customer Question

A month ago I bought a 2004 S type Jaguar with only 41545 miles.
VIN SAJEA01T54FN04530. I only use it for 19 days because when I was running it the car suddenly stop by itself and went on reverse. Then gave me a transmission fault message.
The scan gave me this codes: P1582, P0701, P0732, P0731. can you please tell me what they mean.

These are al gear ratio codes indicaing a mechanical failure. We first need to check the fluid level and condition as low fluid can be the cause. Since there is no dipstick this is not easily done. A dill/level check plug needs to be removed with the fluid warmed, engine running and vehicle on a level surface or lift. Once fluid flows out it is full. Another possibility is the Transmission Control Module which is inside the transmission. We first need to check the fluid. Let me know.
