Customer Question

Hi Richard My name is ***** ***** I am a car dealer. I had my worker follow me over to drop a car off at the auction which is 2 miles. He was driving my 2005 S type 3.0. I came back to get in the car and the R was illuminated, but the car shifter was locked in the park position. I had it flat bedded back to my place to be put on the lift tomorrow. Any ideas ? Thanks Greg

Ok it is most likely an easy fix. We modt likely have loose shifter cable bolts. There are two 8mm bolts that secure the cable bracket to the transmission. They may be loose or even have fallen out.

OK, I saw that response on line. What else could it be ?

Could be the cable or shifter but it is most likely the bolts.

I have run into this quite a few times.
