Do you hear a five second solid tone when first engaging reverse?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No. No beeps at all. But I don't think I ever had a 5 second tone when engaging reverse, even when the sensors were working...

Ok thanks. You would only get the five second room tone if there was a problem with one or more sensors. Since we do not have any tone this is usually caused by a faulty sounder speaker or possibly the control module. Lets first check the module connections to make sure they are clean and secure and that there is no water ingress. The sounder speaker is either located behind the left hand side quarter trim panel or in the rear roof lining depending on the build.
