it is cranking but won't run.
Customer reply replied 2 years ago
it is cranking but not starting. Acts as if about to start then cuts off.
Jaguar Mechanic: Richard, Jaguar Technician replied 2 years ago

Ok this problem is usually caused by the transmission rotory switch.

Ask Your Own Jaguar Question
Jaguar Mechanic: Richard, Jaguar Technician replied 2 years ago

It is located on the transmission and the harness runs to the back of the engine on top of the transmission.

Ask Your Own Jaguar Question
Jaguar Mechanic: Richard, Jaguar Technician replied 2 years ago

We can jump the white/red wire with the green wire on the 10 way black connector at the sensor harness connector.

Ask Your Own Jaguar Question
Customer reply replied 2 years ago
Will that solve the problem or does anything have to be changed?
Jaguar Mechanic: Richard, Jaguar Technician replied 2 years ago

We need to jump it out to see if the problem is resolved. If so then the rotory switch will need to be replaced.

My apologies I could not get back to you yesterday. However, car still won't run. Found three red and a red and black and the green wires at the wire harness to the gear box. Car still not getting power possibly to the nozzles for them to open up.
Customer reply replied 2 years ago
What else can be done and l can't find any red/white wire on the 15 wire harness.
Customer reply replied 2 years ago
I am still getting on the dash engine fault, stability control fail. I have jumped the wires as suggested still cranking but will not run
Jaguar Mechanic: Richard, Jaguar Technician replied 2 years ago

See if you have power with the ignition on at those wires when jumped.
