Hello and thanks for using

It can be a number of issues causing the restricted performance warning. It is most likely an ignition coil or engine sensor like mass air flow or knock sensor. To be sure we will need to have the vehicle scanned for the stored fault codes. A Jag factory tool is needed to do this but we can try a generic OBD II scan tool available at your local parts store to see if we can read any faults. The code will be a P followed by four digits like P0301. Let me know. In the meantime we can do a visual inspection to the engine air intake tube and vacuum lines but I would not recommend disconnecting or resetting anything til we can get the faults read.
