I have entered this code. Doesn't work. Radio says Please wait.
Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
Ok then we will need to get the serial number off the radio to decode it. The radio is not that difficult to remove. I can send over the instructions.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Not very mechanically inclined. Never took out a radio let alone on a Jaguar

Here is how to do it if you feel up to the task. Pop off the plastic or leather shifter surround. It's just held in by pins which usually are broken off. Once that is off remove the two 7mm bolts and two 7mm nuts holding the wood grain to the console. Then lift the back of the wood rain to slide the top front down and out. Once that is removed remove the screws for the radio and climate control head. Pull the radio out and remove the connectors. Hope this helps and let me know if you need more info.

So I learn to remove a radio or do without?
Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
Your local dealer or shop should not charge a lot of labor to do this if you did not feel comfortable doing it yourself.

I'm a 53 year old woman. All I needed was a code. I'm unable to take out the radio as I said before.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Assuming I can get the radio, what do I do then?
Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
We will need the serial number off of it as it is usually scribed into the radio chassis. The radio was most likely replaced which is why the original code does not work. Sorry.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I was able to get the serial # ***** the radio. It is USANJ245997.
Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
Can you look to see if there are any other numbers. Maybe send me over a couple of pictures. Thanks.
