Customer: do you charge for your questions. I have a 2003 s type jaguar the valet key goes the 3rd position and the security light on the dash flashes and goes off I hear the fuel pump and the dash light come on and go off but the car does not turn over. Any ideas. Some one said it might be number 15 Relay in the engine compartment in the fuse box. It seems to stuck the ones seem to be able to come out. Only that one is stuck. But my husband is no expert.

The key moves to all three positions 1 II and III and yes I can remove the key. For right now it is the only key I have. The valet key is the only one I have right now. Some one stole my car and I just got it back. And I am trying figure why it won't start. As I stated all the lights come on on the dash.
Since the security light is flashing very rapidly the security system is not reading the key. Turn the ignition ON and watch the light. It will blink rapidly for about 60 seconds. After that it will blink a code. For example one blink, short pause then five blinks is a code 15. See if you can get me the code as this will help us in pinpointing the possible cause.

Hi Richard to your response the security system flashes repeated then blinks 5 then pauses and then blinks 5 again and repeats this. I hope you can help me. Sophia

Richard my husband said no there is not 1 blink in between it just pauses and then blinks 5 times again .
OK looks like the system is not receiving a correct key code. Unfortunately the key will need to be programmed with a Jag factory tool. Also anytime keys are programmed two keys are needed so you will need to purchase a new key so you have a total of two keys.
