Ok these may or may not be related. We could have an issue with the throttle but usually an engine warning will be on. We will need to have the stored fault codes read with a jag factory diagnostic tool. For the Trac warning this could be a speed sensor or module problem. Usually if the warnings reset after an ignition cycle it is an electrical issue.

Richard, With the Gearbox default reading I get a yellow caution lite. I've
had two incidents. The 1st gearbox default only - The 2nd gearbox followed by trac out. 1st time restarted after engine quit, lite remained on and slow takeoff with gas petal depressed. 2nd time shut engine down waited and had a normal restart. It's a great trany and normally smooth as silk. I'd suspect a faulty swithch.whatcha think.
Yes it definitely sounds electrical. To be sure we will need to see what the fault codes that the module has stored.
