I would disconnect the battery then recharge it on a low charge setting if possible. Figure a 12 volt 10 amp charge for one hour then you can increase it to a 30 amp charge for about 30 minutes. Let me know.

how do i dis connect it?? what tools! my husband isn't here.
You can just disconnect the negative battery cable which will be the black cable. a 8mm or 5/16" wrench is needed to loosen the cable bolt. If you do not have this then we can try charging the battery without disconnecting the battery.

do i still put the charging on the negative battery?
Yes you need to clamp the charger to both the positive and negative battery terminal.
