Jaguar xf: I found a 2012 XF 2.2d base model, this car does

This answer was rated:

I found a 2012 XF 2.2d base model, this car does not have a navigation system and no parking senors or camara. Is it possible to install the HHD based navigation system and parking sensors. What would be required to do this?
Hello and welcome to

Unfortunately installing the factory navigation and park system will really no be possible. You would need all the components and harness. After all is installed the vehicle configuration file would need to be updated and changed by Jag in order for all the systems to recognize the new components. Your better alternative would be an aftermarket system.

is it not possible or hard to do? What components are required?

You would need the audio control module for a navigation system and the roof pod GPS antenna. This is provided the wire harness is there for the pod. Once these components are installed the vehicle will need to be programmed for navigation which is where the vehicle parameters need to be reconfigured using the Jag factory tool. The same goes for the park aid as you would need the parking aid module, sensors, bumper, wire harness, overhead console and camera. This also needs to be programmed into the vehicle configuration. Most dealers would not want to do this for you.

so no seperate wire harness required for the navigation control module?

and same screen can be used?

Since the 12 uses the hard drive nav the audio front module is the radio and navigation unit. The only harness is the one from the pod antenna to the audio unit. Yes the screen is the same.
