This answer was rated:

What does it cost to replace the timing belt and water pump on a 2002 x type jaguar?
Hello and welcome to Justanswer,

What size engine do you have please, 2.5 or 3.0?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Joseph, The labor to replace the water pump runs 2.3 hours, as far as the timing belt , your 3.0 don't have timing belts but instead chains and the labor to replace them runs right at 19.8 hours.

The factory water pump list for $103 and the timing chain set list for right at $300.

Do you know what the rate per hour the dealership typically charges?

Usually anywhere from $125 to $150 per flat rate depending on the market in your area.
