Would an 2003 XJ8 with 179,000 miles be a good investment?

Hello and welcome to

What is the overall condition of this vehicle? How much is the asking price?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

The car looks really good on the outside and pretty good on th inside. It also rides and sounds good. I have not had a mechanic look at it and the asking price is $3895.

Overall the 2003 XJ8 is a solid vehicle but does have some very costly high mileage failures. These include transmission problems, electronic throttle and timing chain tensioners. I would recommend having it checked by a mechanic or dealer. The price is not that much so it sounds like a pretty good deal.
