Jaguar X-Type: Replaced my hood release cable on my 2002 X-Type…

Replaced my hood release cable on my 2002 X-Type 2.5L Manual Trans with 102,000 miles. I am the original owner. The car had sat for a couple of months (I don't think that has any bearing on the situation, but I thought I would mention everything.) During the installation, I did have to pry up on the wire harness to near the power distribution box to make room to remove the old cable and install the new one. I moved the whole harness a minimal distance, did not use a piercing tool, and I don't feel I created any problems in doing so. (once again, trying to think of everything.) There was also a wire harness connector attached to the inside wheel well area on the front driver's side. I believe it is for the front lower fog lights, anyway, one wire was rusted away, and another orange wire, is not far behind. (I'm pretty certain it was in that condition before I started my project, too, but, I did move it up into the engine compartment area. I mention it, just in case it isn't a part of the lights, but something more important. So, right after I changed out the hood release cable, I started the car, and it ran for a couple of seconds and died. It has never, ever done that before. I attempted to start it immediately again, and it clicked like the battery was low, so, I charged the battery for a few minutes, and it started right up, like usual. I drove the car about 2 miles, and all of a sudden, the dash lights came on, and the engine had died. Being a manual transmission, I turned the key off, then back to run, while clutch engaged, nothing. I turned it off again, and tried to start it. It cranked over good, but did not fire. I disconnected the battery cable for 10 minutes, tried to fire it up with starting fluid, and I get no hint of spark. I do not hear the fuel pump run when key is in the on position, but, it's tough to hear with the chime going off when the key is "on". I pulled 3 codes with OBDII reader. P1111, C1145, and P1338. There seems to be some issue with determining the P1338 code being either a camshaft sensor problem, or fuel pump driver module. I don't know enough about my X-Type to know if there is a relationship between fuel delivery and spark availability. I'm looking for solutions. The closest Jag dealership is 200 miles away, and that's a hell of a tow bill, to top it off. Thank you.
