I thought that all these specific Xmsn's (fitting the Jag 4.0 L engines) were German XF models. The 2004 xmsn from the XJ8 4.0L was left from an engine swap to a 1998 XJ8 which was a straight bolt up (so the owner said?) That's why I hoped the Xmsn mite work to the REVERSE (IE. 2004 XMSN to a 2000 4.0L engined car) Are we facing elec control issues or some thing else that can't be solved?
A US model 2004 is a totally different vehicle with a 6 speed trans. You need a transmission from a 1999-2003 XJ8.
