Re 2.2 xtype diesel..hesitation..accelerating..egr valve..10,000 miles

Resolved Question:

Re 2.2 xtype diesel
We are gettin hesitation at around 1500 revs mainly in 3rd gear.Once past that rev band car pulls well and we have no other problems.
This fault is mosy noticable when slowing down and then accelerating ie at junctions or roundabouts.
From standing given enough revs the car will pull through the problem rev area.

N.B. EGR valve was replaced last year +/- 10,000 miles

Hello and welcome to

Can you supply me with the last six digits of your VIN? Have any fault warning lights or messages come on?

Hi vin number last 6 digits E84681

.Glow plug came on, but went off , this happened over a month ago.

The hesitation problem started only a short time ago.

There was a ECM service re program for a hesitation on the diesel engines. This would need to be done at a main dealer or Jag specialist. We should also scan the system to see if there are any fault codes stored.
