Hello and welcome to justanswer.com
Is the vehicle unlocked?
yes
yes it is unlocked
Ok make sure the valet button is not depressed in the glove box.
If it is push it out then use either the trunk button on the trunk lid or dash.
I am trying it
Diod not work
did not work
the valet key will not work in the ignition
Was the valet switch pushed in?
You have a green Valet key?
Both the trunk switches will not work?
no it was out they already checked that.
i have little time they need me to pick them up 2 hours away
Ok get inside your vehicle and close all the doors.
ok
Lock it using the lock switch on the handle.
ok
Then unlock it using the lock button on the handle.
Then see if either switch will work.
ok
If not then there are soem other options but they are not easy.
ok
can we take out the back seat?
The rear seats fold down but they are most likely not un latched. You can remove the seat cushion and remove the bottom bolts. You may be able to lift up the seat enough to get into the trunk with a coat hanger to retrieve the keys.
Another option would be to remove the license plate and the plate anchors. Then with a coat hanger you can pop the latch.
Another way would be to try to jump the switch but it sounds like there may be a wiring problem in the trunk preventing the latch from working electrically.
what are the plate anchors?
Those are the pieces the plate screws into that are in the trunk lid.
Ok
Is the fuse box in the engine where you would jump the switch?
Is the jump ocation the engine fuse box? If so how is it done?
Unfortunately we will need to remove that lower dash panel to get behind the switch but I think this will not work.
The rear seat is locked from the trunk I believe.
They are trying the license plate but are you sure it works for 2002 s type?
I have done it but it's not easy.
You can also drill a hole in the trunk lid in the center of the plate to access the latch.
Can you please ctredit me this diod not work
Thanks
Sure. You did not authorize payment yet so we can continue working on this if you would like.
