Hi, I am wondering how much child support my ex should pay? what is the average? Or it is mainly based on means?

1. Child maintenance is worked out in Ireland on the basis of a percentage of the net after tax income of the father or person paying maintenance who does not have custody of the child(ren). It is 13% for one child. 20% of the net after tax income for two children and 26% for three children. These percentages apply even if the person is claiming social welfare. However, if your ex is not forthcoming about his income, the court will order him to make disclosure.
