Customer Question

Hi, My question is: I have a UK driving license and i live in the uk and ireland. I recently purchased a car and on the way home from buying it got stopped for no insurance. I have received a summons for court today. Can i be banned from driving in Ireland and what kind of punishment am I looking at? Thank you

You can Im afraid.
If it is no insurance alone then you would normally get six points a fine but a ban is possible.
The only other punishment would be a fine and court costs. There is no other penalty for no insurance.
Can I clarify anything for you?
